Rev. Judi Phillips, Interim Minister
I am Rev Judi Phillips. I have been appointed as our interim Pastor as Rev Adam and his family begin a new journey. I am looking forward to this time with you even though we are isolated from each other and social distancing has to be exercised. Even with this, I know I will get to meet you over the coming months. Already I have had a chance to meet a few of you. I am widowed, have two adult sons, and two grandchildren. My Mom currently lives in Thunder Bay (with my brother and his wife) but are all moving to Toronto in August. She is 92 and is in fairly good health. I also have a sister who lives in Fall River. I came to ministry late in life having worked for the Royal Bank for 35 years in the first part of my life. Since that time, I worked for a nursing home for 3 years, went to University for 5 years, and have been in ministry for the last 10 years. I retired from the Parish of New Ross on Dec 31, 2018 and moved to Dayspring where I live and enjoy the view of the LaHave River daily. I was born and raised in Halifax and was brought up in a faith-based home. I love to read, knit, do jig saw puzzles and spend time in the garden (though just getting back to it after 15 years absent). I am also getting back to a bit of baking and cooking again, having stepped away from this when I went back to school. My health has improved since changing to a Gluten Free and Sugar Free diet over 6 years ago. However, this has created some challenges but all in all it is good. My faith journey has been a long one with many ups and downs, twists and turns but through it all God has been a constant companion and guide in my life. Blessings to each one of you as you also are on a new journey.
