In Holy Baptism, God gives us a new birth, adopts us as children, and makes us members of the body of Christ, the church.
The Christian community at worship celebrates God’s gift of baptism. As such, the baptismal liturgy is typically observed within the wider context of our worshipping life. The Word is proclaimed, and surrounded by God’s promises we are sustained in the hope of our new life in Christ.
While it is the practice of the ELCIC to baptize infants, we welcome all those who desire to belong to the body of Christ.
